At 240 hectares, Palermo is one of the largest cities in
Italy and has been the administrative centre of Sicily for
various periods throughout history. It has currently been
the capital since Italy’s reunification in 1860. Thanks
to its eventful history, the city of Palermo has a strange
and unique personality, with essences of Greek, Roman, Arab,
Norman and Spanish that combine to form one distinctive identity
– Sicilian.
Located right by the Giardino Inglese (the ‘English
Garden’), one of the most well known landmarks in the
city, the Palermo Hotel Excelsior Palace is easy to locate.

How to Find Us
From Messina/Catania, exit the E90 at Via Oreto as you enter
the city. Continue along Via Oreto for about 2 km until you
reach Piazza Giulio Cesare, where you turn right then immediate
left at the roundabout onto Via Roma. Follow Via Roma until
Piazza Sturzo. Turn left at the piazza onto Via D. Sciná
then take the third right onto Via della Libertá, the
main road that leads to the Giardino Inglese. At the end you’ll
come to Piazza Francesco Crispi. Here you’ll have to
take a right because of the one-way system, then do a U-turn,
finally turning right onto Via Ugo Marchese, where you’ll
find the Hotel Excelsior Palace Palermo!
If you get lost at any point, simply ask a local. You’ll
be overwhelmed by Sicilian hospitality.
Our address is Via Ugo Marchese, number 3. |
